Cajees ecomm policies – returns, refunds and exchanges.
Stuff happens, we understand that sometimes things just go sideways, if you need to return your purchase we will guide you through the process.
Returns policy
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with its original accessories, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

A return or exchange is strictly subjected to the condition of the product and in the complete discretion of reasonability of the seller Cajees Lighting and Electrical, thus the condition of the product should be in the same condition as received without wear and tear, and furthermore be returned with its original packaging.
A return or exchange may be rejected if the condition in which the product is returned is not with its original packaging or has been used or it is clear to the seller that it has been returned in bad faith.
In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please notify us as soon as possible within 48 hours at online@cajeeslighting.co.za with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis and will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
To return your product, you should deliver/courier your product to the address we supply.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
If you are shipping an item over R500, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
The following categories of products are non-returnable under any circumstances:
- Electrical cable, strip lights, flexible conduit - sold per meter (cut-to-length)
- Solar products not installed by an accredited solar installer and/or without a valid Certificate of Compliance
Warranty Claims on defective products.
If a product is defective due to a manufacturing fault and falls within the manufacturer’s warranty period, it may qualify for a warranty claim.
To be eligible:
- The product must be within its warranty period (e.g. 6 months, 12 months, etc.)
- The issue must not be caused by incorrect installation, misuse or negligence. Power surges or any act of nature are not covered within warranty.
Warranty Claim Process:
- Notify us as soon as possible (reasonable time frame).
- Provide a description of the fault, your order number, and photos/videos if available
- Our team will assess the claim and request the product be returned (at your cost) for further evaluation
- If the claim is approved, we will arrange either a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances and send the item to you (at our cost)
All return requests require authorisation. Items returned to us without prior authorisation will not be accepted.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 14 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too which is not in our control. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, and you have not received the funds please contact us.
