Description
The CBI 15 A 1P 3 kA Samite Mini Circuit Breaker is a compact, reliable circuit protection device — designed for safe, everyday electrical circuits in homes and small-scale commercial installations. Its single-pole configuration is ideal for lighting circuits, small socket outlets, and other low- load applications needing dependable over-current protection.
With a 15 A rated current and 3 kA breaking capacity, this breaker effectively protects wiring and connected devices from overloads and short-circuit faults, reducing the risk of damage or fire. The hydraulic-magnetic C-curve trip characteristic ensures responsive protection while tolerating normal surges or startup currents (for example from appliances or lighting loads), minimizing nuisance trips under normal use.
-
Model / Series: QA-1(13) Mini-Rail / Samite-mount 1-pole breaker
-
Type: Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB), Single-Pole (1P)
-
Rated Current (In): 15 Amps — suitable for low- to moderate-load circuits (lighting, small socket circuits, small appliances)
-
Breaking Capacity (Icu / Ics): 3 kA — safely interrupts overloads or short-circuit fault currents up to 3000 A
-
Voltage Rating: 240 V AC (single-phase domestic / commercial supply) — standard for residential and light-commercial installations.
-
Tripping Mechanism / Characteristic: Hydraulic-magnetic with “C-curve” (standard) — provides overload and short-circuit protection while tolerating normal inrush/start-up currents from devices.
-
Mounting / Form Factor: Samite / Mini-rail — 13 mm module width; ultra-compact, designed to fit in standard Samite / mini-rail distribution boards / consumer units.
-
Poles / Configuration: Single-pole (1P) — protects one live conductor; suitable for single-phase circuits (lighting, sockets, small power circuits).
-
Protection Provided: Overload protection & short-circuit protection — safeguards wiring and connected devices from electrical faults, surges or overloads.
-
Physical Dimensions / Build: Compact plastic housing, 13 mm width module — minimal space consumption; typical Mini-Rail mounting height/width as per CBI specification.
-
Standards / Compliance: Compliant with relevant standards applicable to low-voltage MCBs (IEC/SANS / manufacturer spec for Samite-rail breakers)
-
Typical Applications: Domestic homes, apartments, small offices — lighting circuits, socket circuits, small-appliance power circuits, sub-circuits requiring 15 A protection; ideal for retrofit or new install in Samite-rail boards.
