Description
The Onesto 63 A DIN‑Rail 3 kA Earth‑Leakage Breaker is a robust, safety‑first protection unit designed to safeguard electrical installations from earth‑faults, leakage currents, overloads, and short‑circuits. With a 63 A rating and 3 kA breaking capacity, this breaker is well suited for main supply lines, sub‑mains, or heavier circuits — ideal for homes, offices, workshops, and light‑industrial setups.
What sets this unit apart is its earth‑leakage detection capability (30 mA residual‑current sensitivity), which triggers an immediate trip on detecting dangerous leakage currents. This helps prevent electric shock hazards and fire risks due to current leaking to earth or metal enclosures.
-
Rated Current (In): 63 Amps — suitable for main supply lines, sub‑mains, or heavy‑load circuits.
-
Breaking / Fault‑Current Capacity (Icu / Ics): 3 kA — can safely interrupt overloads or short‑circuit / fault currents up to 3000 A.
-
Poles / Configuration: Typically 2‑pole (1P + Neutral) or 3‑pole + neutral (depending on model / supply type).
-
Rated Voltage (Ue): ~ 220–240 V AC for single‑phase versions (1P+N); 415 V AC for 3‑phase versions (3P+N) — compatible with standard South African supply.
-
Earth‑Leakage / Residual‑Current Sensitivity (IΔn): 30 mA — trips on small leakage currents to provide protection against electric shock / fault currents.
-
Mounting / Form Factor: DIN‑rail / Samite‑rail mount — suitable for standard distribution boards or consumer units. Installation is straightforward via standard 35 mm DIN rail.
-
Trip Mechanism: Residual‑current (earth‑leakage detection) + over‑current / short‑circuit (depending on version) — provides protection against earth leakage, overloads, and short‑circuits.
-
Compliance / Standards: Meets common safety/residual‑current standards (e.g. as used for earth‑leakage / RCCB devices in South Africa) — suitable for domestic, commercial, or light‑industrial installations.
-
Typical Applications: Main supply protection, sub‑mains, socket banks, kitchens, geysers, workshops, offices — anywhere requiring ground‑fault / earth‑leakage protection plus overload/short‑circuit safety.
